Hello and welcome the August 2001 edition of the AVEL newsletter. Each month we will bring you news about the latest engineering and IT resources on AVEL, the latest services and the latest news.

AVEL's BEST OF THE BEST
AVEL contains links to only quality websites. We handpick them so that you can save time searching. That said, sometimes we find sites that deserve a special mention.

This month we focus on IT and Engineering Recruitment and Employment web sites.

IT Job Stuff -- "The most comprehensive site for IT and T jobs in New Zealand "

This is their claim, not ours, but with nearly 2000 jobs in their database, IT Job Stuff provide a useful web site for anyone looking for an IT job in New Zealand. The site includes an email alerting service and links to related websites. The database allows you to search across a range of agencies, for contract or permanent work, or for employment in a specific region. If your aim is to emigrate to New Zealand, the site offers useful tips.

Aacorn International Limited - New Zealand

Aacorn International Limited is a free service and specialises in recruitment for the New Zealand information technology industry. Aacorn International are full members of the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association and have preferred supplier status from a number of employers. Their website offers advice on finding work in New Zealand, a listing of the "Top 10" jobs currently available, as well as useful links to New Zealand-related web sites.

Command Recruitment Group - Australia

Command Recruitment Group offer a range of employment service for permanent and contract work in Australian IT and Engineering fields. They offer a free, searchable database, interview tips, online CV submission, advice on immigration, and useful links. The web site is beautifully designed a worth a look for it's own sake !

Engineers International
http://engineers-international.com/

This Australian based portal offers detailed advice on creating your CV, writing application letters , and seeking employment. Employers can search through a database of job seekers. It also offers services such as news, free software, and online discussion lists. A nicely designed, functional site.
